Pierogies & Polka
Yup you guess it ~ just arrived from Poland! It was a great trip, our final stop in Europe before we headed back home. We went to a few different cities, the capital Warsaw with an amazing old town where I had one of my favorite meals ever. Followed by Jelenia Gora with its beautiful mountains, we were even lucky enough to do a quick day trip to Sniezka, a mountain that borders Czech Republic and Poland. We took a lift on the Czech side and walked down the Polish side! Very cool. Then we traveled to the very historic Gdansk where we stayed in the home of THE Copernicus (now turned hotel/museum). Gdansk is a city of artist, so many markets and handmade good for sale at every corner, I loved it. Last but not least was Krakow! It had a huge market square, that was very lively, buskers, concerts, always something going on. Poland overall is a pretty country. The architecture was vibrant with colors and patterns everywhere. The food was wholesome and flavorful. Everything we saw was interesting not to mention affordable, Poland has plenty to offer, a definitely must see!
