Splendid Switzerland
This weekend we decided to go visit some family, they live in a small town near Zurich called Herrliberg. It was so pretty, very clean and cute. There was also a festival going on in Zurich that only happens every 3 years, Zürifäscht, so we were in luck. We could only stay 3 days but it was a perfect mix of relaxation, sightseeing and partying. The festival takes over the city and lasts all night, with tons of food and entertainment, air shows, rides, jet ski competitions, DJs and topped off with amazing fireworks complete with synchronized sound track = wow! We also squeezed in some sightseeing at a little town near by called Rapperswil. It has a little castle and a great view, the water is so green and clear it’s crazy! On sunday we went to the mountains in another near by town called Flims. This was really incredible, I’ve never seen mountains so I was totally amazed, I felt so small! These mountains are popular in the winter for skying and in the summer are full of hikers and mountain bikers. I don’t do either and had never even been on a chair lift so everything was new to me! I couldn’t stop myself from taking so many photos… but it just couldn’t do the beauty justice!
