Birthday bash in Berlin
A few weekends ago we went to Berlin for a friend’s birthday. She’s from Berlin, born and raised so we were lucky enough to get the local’s tour. The ILA air show was going on so we checked that out on saturday, then we went out for dinner and some cocktails. The next day we had an amazing brunch then did some sight seeing, saw the Berlin wall, then to a pub where we tried to blend in with the locals and check out the football match, Germany vs Australia. Everything in Berlin was SO cheap! I couldn’t believe it, especially the food, wow we ate so much good food and I almost felt guilty that we were paying them so little. I also loved the vibe in Berlin, in a way it reminded me of Toronto. People had such great style, funky haircuts and great clothes, not posh trendy more like effortlessly cool.
